Sampler Quilt Top

Just a quick post to show my sampler quilt top, I probably should've ironed it first but it's actually hot here for a change! Definately too hot for ironing, but ideal for a photo in the garden.

As you can see I'm a novice at choosing fabrics and colours and putting blocks together, but IMHO it's ok for a beginner. It's been at this stage for a while now, I just kept forgetting to blog it. I really need to get my act together and finish something up. Shamefully I have 3 quilt tops at this stage now, the previously seen blue trip around the world and a jellyroll, which I'll try to get a photo of soon.

I've not been in blogland much recently, so thanks for stopping by, really appreciate it, enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Cute sampler quilt! Reminds me of the ones my mother made. Each one will get a little more professional, don't worry!

I think that your quilt is great for a beginner. The first quilt I ever made - calicos were in style. I didn't really know about values of colors or mixing up patterns - mine was a calico nightmare. But you learn as you go along. Great beginnings for you - it looks perfectly pieced.
